“Space, Form, Architecture” is a course focused on the mental space. In this course, memories are challenged and used as a lever to create structures. Students strive to transform their memories into a specific spatial structure in architecture, giving them materiality and making them an experienceable space for themselves and others. In this course, memories intertwined with each individual’s personality and identity are discussed in relation to architectural concepts and historical examples.
“Space, Form, Architecture” is an architectural design course emphasizing the language and fundamental concepts of architecture such as spatial structure, spatial organization, structure, and architectural elements. This course is process-oriented and culminates in a conceptual project through a series of defined exercises.
In this process, students practice converting space, as a unique mental concept, into architecture using the problem of form as an educational tool.
