This course aims to explain and elaborate on strategic and effective content for enhancing practical and interdisciplinary knowledge, with a focus on self-reliance, self-employment, urgent and purposeful action in facing challenges and crises. It seeks to expand professional and specialized fields in art, architecture, and industrial design, while also improving hope, motivation, and active engagement in the target community. The subtle aspect of this necessity addresses the systematic gaps in the triad of university, industry, and market.
The content of this lecture is based on the book Adoxism (1972) by Charles Chengs, a postmodernist architect and theorist. It includes key themes of improvisation and problem-solving, combinability and integration, utilization of available or unconventional materials, pragmatism, and creative action in culture and design. The content is adapted and incorporated into local, territorial equivalents and, as necessary, aggregated accordingly.
